A landmark year for N.Y.C., 2007 saw the completion of the full- length cd “ZYKO”. This CD guarantees to deliver on all the slammin’ hype that follows N.Y.C. At press time the CD is being mastered by Grammy- nominated engineer Mike Lazer at Paramount Studios. Look for many upcoming endorser ads supporting the release with a nationwide tour to follow.
This year also saw 17 guitar clinics featuring Tommy. After doing 7 Southern California Sam Ash clinics (April), the response was so overwhelming that ESP and Morley sent Tommy to Florida in August to do 5 more Sam Ash clinics. After more positive reviews poured in, ESP sent Tommy back to Florida for 5 more clinics at big independent dealers.
More ESP clinics are planned/confirmed for 2008.

Also on the promotion end, GHS Strings has printed/pictured the cover of Tommy’s instructional DVD “Metal Primer” along with N.Y.C. links inside 60,000 sets of strings currently shipping worldwide. This coincides with a full page feature ad set to run very soon.

N.Y.C.’s newest endorser Guitar Wheel has totally ramped up the promo game. In addition to running ads with Tommy consistently through ‘07 in Guitar World and Guitar Player, he has also contributed a feature lesson to their upcoming Guitar Wheel book soon to be published by Hal Leonard. In June Tommy was personally asked by George Lynch to participate as a bh guest instructor at his LA Dojo Summit for his online teaching academy. The event was a huge success and future summits are planned.

Also look for Chaz to be featured in an online eBay auction sponsored by Pintech Percussion. This promotion includes autographed N.Y.C. and Pintech merchandise to be auctioned off for charity. Past auction participants include Lamb of God, Linkin Park, Hootie and The Blowfish and Seether among others.

N.Y.C. has been buried underground busy in the studio writing and recording the new CD "Zyko". The album is currently being prepared to be mixed. N.Y.C. has been busy hitting the pavement hard preparing for an upcoming tour. The tour will kick off in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 14th and will feature guitar clinics with ESP, Morley, Digitech, GHS, Kordex, and Icons of Rock. Check the tour dates section for more info.
Check out the August issue of Guitar World (pg 102) and you’ll see a big feature ad of Tommy for Morley Pedals. The ad is promoting the new Icons of Rock DVD “Metal Primer” by Tommy Bolan (click here for more info, and look for it soon in Musician’s Friend catalog and Tower Records among other stores worldwide).

Morley also has a new banner on their site promoting “Metal Primer” with pedal giveaways. Look for additional giveaways from Morley in the Musician’s Friend catalog. Also keep an eye out for an upcoming contest in a major guitar magazine in which N.Y.C. endorsers will be giving away over $5000 in musical equipment to promote the DVD.

GHS Strings has also “ramped up” the promotion of the DVD. Not only was Tommy the “Featured Rock Artist” of April 2006 on the GHS website, but there will also be 1000 sets of strings that will be given away with specially marked DVDs, and special 6-packs of Boomers will include a DVD sampler of “Metal Primer” that will be available late fall of 2006…. In addition to upcoming feature ads for GHS, Tommy will also be signing in the GHS booth at the Winter NAMM in Anaheim, CA. On the drumming side, Chaz will be appearing/performing in the Pintech Percussion booth. Be on the lookout for upcoming Freelok ads featuring Tommy in Guitar World and Guitar One. In addition, Freelok will be posting DVD clips on their website as well.

Go to Digitech's web site, click “artist news” for the latest Digitech press release on Tommy. Check the website for clips of “Metal Primer” that will soon be posted on the Digitech site. Tommy will be featured in upcoming Digitech ads and catalogs as well.

And finally, on the last date of the tour in Los Angeles, N.Y.C. will be filming and recording the show for a live DVD and CD entitled “Live in the Land of Fiction”. This DVD will be distributed worldwide!!!!!

N.Y.C. had a busy year!! Over 6000 miles of Touring, Radio Interviews, New Endorsers, Charity Auctions, an Instructional DVD and MORE!!
N.Y.C. toured the US and was featured On the Air and In the Studio LIVE at KBEAR 101 in Idaho Falls, ID and also at KRWN in Farmington, NM, where N.Y.C. donated a guitar from their endorser ESP for the Child Haven Charity Auction. These stations in addition to 96.3 The Zone ( Billings, MT), 92.7 The Fly (Wichita, KS) and 100.3 The Edge ( Tulsa, OK) were among the many stations who supported NYC on the tour which featured shows with Dragonlord and Chiamara.

The tour was further "hyped" with Multiple show giveaways from N.Y.C. endorsers Morley, GHS, Digitech and Kordex. As always, the Jagermeister swag was “flowin’” alongside the "Monster" giveaways. NYC tour dates also appeared on the website of their endorser VestalWatches and were listed on Pollstar.

Look for N.Y.C. to be playing in Austin, Texas during the South by Southwest convention on the Monster Energy Showcase stage and at future Monster events as well.

Also confirmed and "in the works" is N.Y.C.'s music to appear on "select" upcoming MTV reality shows. Stay tuned for more info.

NYC has a production deal with Hollywood Recording Studio and has been remixing and recording with Meghan Gohill. Mastering the new disc took place at Future Disc Systems with Kris Solem at the controls. (Click here for photo of Tommy in studio with Kris). Kris has worked with everyone from Motley Crue to Celine Dion. The new CD sounds awesome.

In addition to recording new material in the studio, N.Y.C. was busy touring the U.S. and was featured on the bill at Pigstock 10 in Davenport Iowa. Also on the bill were Superjoint Ritual, Fear Factory, Dimmu Borgir, Lacuna Coil, Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Otep, Mastodon, Hatebreed, and many others.

To hype N.Y.C. even more at this show, Monster Energy donated 50 cases of Monster Energy drink in N.Y.C.’s name to push it over the top.
